Lung Cancer Screenings at Arnot Health
A Simple Screening That Can Save Your Life.
Low-Dose CT Scans Find Lung Cancer Earlier
If you (or a loved one) are between the ages of 50 and 77 and have ever been a heavy smoker, the risk of developing lung cancer should not be ignored. Arnot Health uses low-dose CT scans to detect potential problems, and this simple screening can help detect lung cancer early and increase survival rates among smokers by as much as 20%. (See lung cancer risk self-assessment below to see if screening may be right for you.)
Are you at risk?
Lung cancer screening is covered by most insurances for patients who meet the following criteria:
• I am between age 55-77 and
• I have smoked at least 1 pack of cigarettes per day for 20 years or more (1 pack = 20 cigarettes) and
• I currently smoke or have quit within the past 15 years.
If you checked all of the boxes above, you should consider lung cancer screening. If you have questions about our low-dose CT lung cancer screen¬ing program, call Health on Demand today at (607) 737-4499 or visit arnothealth.org/lung for more information.
